Joest Feeders are firmly entrenched in South African industry for their reliability. Joest feeders can be designed for any configuration, ranging from small dosing feeders to large gearbox-driven brute force feeders. As a standard, all feeders are engineered to the client’s specification, with due regard given to protection of the machine through the use of correctly specified wear liners. Joest feeders use unbalanced motors or magnetic drives on all feeder applications.

ELECTROMAGNETIC FEEDERS
Joest is the market leader in electromagnetic feeders using open electro-magnetic drives operated with a Thyristor controller and leaf springs to separate the two-mass resonance system to maintain constant feed rates or to control the material feed rate from 0-100%.
The Joest electro-magnetic feeder can be subjected to an unlimited number of start/stop cycles per hour. The feeder stops instantaneously without any free flow of material. This system is superior wherever high feed rates and high head loads are simultaneously encountered, has better speed control characteristics, and lower head room requirement than conventional electromagnetic feeders.
